Dani Shay
This. Woman. Is. So. Beautiful. So you may have seen this amazing woman named Dani Shay on Americas Got Talent but she has a lot more amazingness than her Justin Biber parody. Dani Shay has many original songs that she says are "thought provoking"and they very much are. I've been sitting around all day just watching videos of her. I just wanna meet this girl and tell her how much I love her. I like freak out an can't breathe when I watch her sing like I feel obsessed but I don't want to be creepy. She just has such a beautiful voice I can't control how much i think she is the cutest person ever and I want her to win America's Got Talent. But then agian America is not worthy of her talent she is too good!
Picture Me Broken
Summerfest 2011 has a suckish line up but when I went I saw this band Picture Me Broken and it made coming to Summerfest so worth it! This band has like everything I love in a band it's crazy! Their music sounds like a mix of Flyleaf, Fireflight, and even a Blessthefall twist. This girl Brooklyn sings so beautifuly and not to mention has a great scream as well. They do great rock music like Flyleaf but with more screaming like Blessthefall. My favorite song by them is If I Never Wake Agian its one of those slow touching songs then grows near the end and just makes you feel real good. I bought their EP and got it signed by them too, I wish I could've talked to them more though they seem like very cool people. I'm going to see when they come near here again because I want to see them agian because they had an awesome show! And maybe I could interview them too. So go check them out!

All Stars Tour
So I"ve been pretty upset lately with the Summerfest line up this year, the only Christian band I like and know that will be there is Owl City. I Love Owl City but I really need some hardcore stuff like Iwrestledabearonce, For Today, and Blessthefall. And The All Stars Tour answered my prayers! (click here for dates). Just when I start to feel like Milwaukee is horrible at getting good bands the All Stars Tour is coming and I'm so freakin excited!! This tour has so many beastly bands it's incredible and it's such a blessing to me to be able to go to a concert with the best line-up The Rave has ever had (the only other band that would make it the most perfect ever would be Flyleaf). This line-up consists of 3 of my fav bands including Iwrestledabearonce, Blessthefall, and For Today. I really cant wait to see Blessthefall because I have never seen them and the last time they were in Milwaukee I couldn't go at last minute and made me really sad. Blessthefall is one of those bands that has been on my list for a while that I've never gotten the chance to see. Iwrestledabearonce is a band I just started getting really into and I absolutely love Krysta Cameron, she is my idol, I want to be a screamer like her! I know if Iwrestledabearonce is gonna be there is gonna be a real good time. To top it off For Today, they are a true blessing to the music industry and I wish I could just sit down and talk with them and tell them that. They have so much talent and are using it in a way that many bands are ashamed to do and they are so true and pure to themselves. Last time I saw For Today some people around me were making me so mad because they were making fun of what they had to say, it almost made me give up on the music industry all together but then I thought of it differently and just motivated me more to want to change it. What For Today does is everything I'm all about and they are a band that I have no doubt will make a change in peoples lives through their message. These are just 3 of about 10 other awesome bands that create this godly line-up. Check out tour dates here to see if they come near you don't miss out on this insanely good tour!

Iwrestledabearonce's new song
Once again Iwrestledabearonce never fails to make me fall in love every time I hear them. Their new song Karate Nipples has many typical IWABO sound but they do take it a bit further and make some echo-like sounds and some siren type things. This song has more hardcore-ness than clear singing. Theres so much going on in this song it's exciting to listen to. oh and btw they defiantly didn't go black metal they are just wierdos and wanted us to get scared.

Danny Dodge Music/ Totality
Danny Dodge, who did Friday Death Metal Version, has his own solo work Danny Dodge Music and a band Totality. Danny says that his music is influenced by Deathspell Omega, Burzum and Immortal. Truthfully I've never listened to any of those bands but if they were his influences they must be pretty good. Danny's music, to me, reminds me of For Today and My Children My Bride. He has techno-like sounds like Sky Eats Airplane but much more to it. This music is so original and has lots of technical talent, it's like a mix of genres and it is awesome! He changes scream tone within a song and almost sounds like more than one person but gives dynamic. This stuff is true moshing material! If I saw him live omg I'd so love that! This man should defiantly be signed his music is so beast!! you better go listen to him if you like any of the bands I write about. Also his band Totality that he says is influenced by Gojira, Meshuggah, Aeon, Black Dahlia Murder, and Hate Eternal is also really good. click here to go to their facebook

Symphony In Peril
Symphony In Peril is another band that I got their CD from Facedown's grab bag deal. They have a nice hardcore feel to them, I don't quite love the screamer but he is average. They have just a regular sound to them, not too original. Also when I listen to them I can find parts that could use some better editing, they have real potential but could use a better producer. I tend to feel like the instruments overpower the vocals. Their music is good enough for me to listen to for like an hour but it just very simple to my taste, I go for crazier bands. Some songs stand out a little more than others, one of them reminds me of an Oh, Sleeper song. They have one of those songs king of like Bring Me The Horizon's Suicide Season where the scream is like in the background like an echo called Inherent Scars, it might be my favorite one. It feels like I'm listening to a whole different band song after song. I'll listen to one song and it will be average and kind of give the feel of a band that needs work, but then some songs start out strong then loose their feel. I want to say I love them but then the song trails off into plain-ness and I'm not feeling it anymore...it's sad. Another thing I noticed after googleing them is that they are in need of a new band picture...they should hire me. I would recommend them to people who enjoy traditional screamo.
