Flyleaf New CD yay!!

Flyleaf has a new CD coming out in 2 weeks on December 7th that will have of all their old songs that haven't been put on any album yet. I was freaking out when I heard because this is what I've wanted for so long! Before they were Flyleaf they were called Passerby, they had songs from that time that never made it to be on any album and now they are. See I don't buy itunes anything i need the item. I like to have and object not something virtual because then you can see the album and and lyrics and all that fun stuff and i just like it. So Ive never had any of their old songs on my ipod but i have heard them because of youtube, yes I listen to them on youtube often. I even decided to buy a song off itunes though I hate doing it I had to get the song Break Your Knees for my ipod it touched me so much I needed it to be with me. So anyway I'm excited about the CD and ill write more once I get it! oh and by the way Pat the bassist does all the album art isn't he just awesome! Yay Flyleaf!!

PARAMORE

I love Paramore so much. I've known of them for years and when I listen to Riot! I feel like I am in 7th grade again. I cried at my first Paramore concert, it was one of the best nights of  my life. And I crowd surfed for the first time! But no matter how much fun I have seeing them and the feeling they give me their songs are relate-able and one I know of for sure is almost a worship song. The song My Heart from the album All We Know is about Jesus and how our hearts beat for him. I love that song so much it's one of my favorite songs ever. The ending is really cool too with the screaming. I would love to meet them someday because they seem like the most interesting band to meet. They look like a group of fun, loving, exciting people that would be awesome to hang out with. Hayley is so funny I can just tell from what I've seen of her I think if we knew each other we would be friends. But anyway about their music, they are such good musicians I mean come on Hayley Williams has such a great voice and all the guys are so talented too not to mention they are all very attractive Hayley got an award for sexiest female and fashionista. These guys are on top! But they wouldn't have made it this far if it wasn't for all their talent. I really love their music and so glad it has been in my life because their music is so me. I know I'm not the only one who feels this way about them because I know they have millions of fans all over the world. There are people probably in every single country who is a huge fan of Paramore. I know for sure they have fans on every continent. They are even an inspiration to artist because of how young they were when they started Hayley was only 14 when they were signed. I think Paramore is becoming a music legend for our generation. I remember going to a store that had this poster thing that you flip to look at posters to buy and there was AC/DC, KISS, Metalica and all those old legend bands and then there was Paramore and I thought wow that's so cool. I love seeing bands that I adore start to become real big its just awesome. But of course popularity is not everything if you are in a band having fun and if your in a christian band you know that even if you don't have a million fans you are still doing something right and you have success in that aspect. Like when i interviewed Flyleaf that was one of the things that came up, Sameer said " even if we had stoped before we started playing in placed we would have known we were doing something right". Artist love popularity but if you're true to yourself in what you do that wont be your main goal being in music and I believe Paramore never intended on the fame but got it with their determination to do what they love and what they love happened to be something millions of people wanted to listen to. Paramore is high on my list of favorite bands actually just below Flyleaf and always will be.

The Rocket Summer

The Rocket Summer is another one of those one man bands that I love. I have been listening to his music for a while and it recently has been coming into my life and making sense in situations I am in and guiding me through them. Of course there are so many other artists that have songs that do that for me but I just new that after I listened to the song Walls by The Rocket Summer I had to write something about how it impacted me and opened my eyes to the Lord when I was being stubborn to listening to what he was trying to get through my head. I just needed something at this moment to make me feel something because it was one of those days where u feel so useless you just want to sleep all day and then u feel like there's nothing to do and you're not even in the mood to do things you love to do, well ya I was having a time like that. The song Walls opened my eyes to realize God really does know me he knows who I am and he wanted me to listen to that song to tell me yes I know how you feel about your life. I felt like the song was written for me and I've had this feeling about lots of songs but this moments was so good because I just had my ipod on shuffle and God honestly talks to me through my ipod shuffle. I just wish and i pray that people in this world who are hopeless will just have a moment like i did and realize God knows you and will help you "break the walls down". (omg it just came on my ipod shuffle!!)

Underoath's New Drummer

Underoath has a new drummer since Aaron Gillespie left and he is formerly the drummer of Norma Jean. His name is Daniel Davison (second from the left) and from hearing Underoath's new song In Division he is pretty good. Since Arron was also the clear vocalist there is also a new clear vocalist and instead of a new person the lead vocalist is the new clear vocalist. He is not a bad singer but compared to Aaron he is not as great. The new song is still recognizable as Underoath they have not changed much after Aaron left. I'm sure that their new album coming out on November 9th will be good and even though Underoath has none of the original people they still have good music and as long as they have good music I'm not gonna stop listening to them and buying their music.

Owl City

So just because a majority of my favorite bands are screamo or post-hardcore doesn't mean I don't like other genres. In fact if you put my ipod on shuffle it could go from The Devil Wears Prada to Demi Lovato. When I first heard Owl City it was about 4 years ago before they (he) wasn't as famous as he is now. The first song I heard was Rainbow Veins and i really liked it. I started listening to more of his music and got to know more like how it is a one guy band similar to Secondhand Serenade (but very different genres). Owl City is a one man band and the one mans name is Adam Young. He is a really talented man. He is really good at putting together electronic sounds along with creative lyrics. His songs are so odd the words seem like he was on some kind of drug while he was writing. His lyrics really sets him apart from other pop bands because the lyrics are much less cheesy. I own his album Ocean Eyes and it's a really inyteresting album. His song Metero Shower is one song that to me shows his Christian faith. In this song the words are " I am not my own for I have been made new" which is what happens when you accept Christ. A lot of people fight that Owl City is not Christian but this song says otherwise also I got his album at a Christian store. I hope that people will recognize that Owl City is a Christian band.
