Blessthefall

Blessthefall is a post hardcore band that i lsisten to a lot and cant believe i never blogged about them because i tend to listen to them a lot. The first time i heard them was when i saw they had a music video on music choice on demand. I knew i had heard of them before so i listened to the song Whats Left Of Me and i fell in love. the song is a good example of who they are i think is'ts a good first song to hear by them because it is so them. i think when you are intoroducing a band to someone you have to choose the right song because the feel of each song varrys an example would be showing the song Only Exception to someone who wants to know what Paramore sounds like and we all know that that is pretty much the softest song they have so its not a good example of who they are. but anyway so Whats Left Of Me is a good song. I used to think they were a christian band and im still not positive but all i know is they are nothing like Asking Alexandria lyric-wise so its not like they are satanis. I like their lyrics the song Skinwalker would have to be my favorite because it kind of explians me. I always love songs when i feel like they are for me and i guess that would be normal to feel that way. another really good song by them is Hey Baby, Heres the Song You Wanted because it has a really good alternative sond, this song would be an example of a song that cant be the first song you hear by them because it gives a different feel. This song isnt one of my favorites because of the lyrics its a well written song but like i said i like songs that are directed to me but that dsoesnt mean i dont like love songs knowing they were written for someone else because they are good and have talent and this song has talent and brings out a new feel of Blessthefall and i like that they can varry their sound. Blessthefall is the most post hardcore band i know because they have an even amount of clear volcal and screaming rather than more screaming than singing so they are almost alternative but if someone who is uesd to listening to All Time Low alternative might not like Blessthefall because of the screaming. But you never know i got a preppy guy to like Attack! Attack! so anything is possible. so listen to Blessthefall and see what you think.

Austin Carlile has a video blog

so Austin Carlile is currently in no band. He recently had surgery which made him have to leave Of Mice & Men but didn't return after. here's a link to a blog he made about his surgery including pics of it so just warning you if you don't like looking in the human body don't go here http://blanklove.tumblr.com/post/674827448/visuals-from-surgery He now has a video blog and he is talking about starting to write new music and has a partner working with him that he hasn't revealed yet. here's a link to a youtube video of his first blog http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jVLyMiDx-pk. oh and he has a cute dog. I'm excited to see what he will do in music now. i hope he can stick with a band longer than like a year. I hate it when good artists never stay in the same band because i start to like a band and then it changes and it just annoys me because i really liked Attack Attack and then i really liked Of Mice & Men and now they are no longer.  so anyway check out his video blog.

The Devil Wears Prada: Zombie EP

a lot of people are hatting on this album but i don't think it is as bad as everyone says. from what people said i didn't expect to like this album but i do. People are saying that you cant hear any lyrics which is kind of true but since when does every screamo band actually make that possible anyway? The music still has all the talent in it that TDWP has to offer. i don't think this album is bad at all, Ive heard really bad screaming I'm not gonna name any band names but i think i have heard the worst screamer ever and TDWP has a good screamer. The album does lack clear vocal but the song Anatomy does have a rather long section of singing and it ends with a cool thecno-ness. i think that it is ok that there is not a lot of clear vocal because August Burns Red is awesome and they have almost no clear vocal. the song Revive is probably my favorite so far because it has a choir part and ends really fadish and has awesome thecno parts and i just really love the sound of it fading at the end and its just so good i cant get over it, the piano is like love and oh my gosh! When i listen to this album it doesn't sound like a whole new band (like some people were making me think i would hear from it) because they still have all the talent of mixing up sounds that they always have and i have pretty much nothing bad to say about this album. I think the only way TDWP could be bad is if they got a new screamer and guitarist because i think they are the strongest ones of the band that can really carry out the sound TDWP should always have. so i have been listening to the song Outnumbered and this is what i get out of it: i think it means we are living in a society that's metaphorically a wasteland because we are living lies with the hate and drama of our media. The zombies represent the people living in our society and media of lies and like zombies, are converting people to be like them. The words " all the money in the world won't satisfy the enemy" means people are being so materialized and believing money and material things is all you want and live for. the song also talks of "beating the odds" like protect yourself so you don't become like one of those people so you can be real and true and live by God's word. But of course this is just my interpretation I'm not sure what was intended by TDWP.
