Make Me Famous

No, this is not a post about making me famous. This band called Make Me Famous that I just discovered on youtube less then a minute ago is freakin awesome! I was just showing my sister the song Second & Sebring by Of Mice & Men on youtube when I saw there was a vocal cover of it and I listened to it. I loved it, so I looked at more of his videos and then I saw he was in this band and after hearing the first song I knew I had to blog about them. Such a beautiful band. They are so cool that Johnny Franck formerly in Attack Attack! now in The March Ahead played a song with them. I don't know much about them yet considering I just discovered them but all I can say is listen to them because I say they are awesome. By the way I'm not sure if you can tell but if you click "first song" above it will go to their song that I heard.

Musicians Of Wisconsin Open Mic Night

Yesterday I went to an open mic night to see all the talent local bands have and oh my gosh I they showed me talent. These people are such talented musicians and I love that we acknowledge them with open mic nights. There was not a single act I didn't enjoy, and this was just another night like the Grafton High School Battle of the bands (if you read that post)  it was a revelation to me that screamo isn't everything. Even though screamo gives me the most joy other genera's do make my heart sing as well. Last night I think I heard the best guitarist ever and the best electronic band ever.

Undroath's New CD Since Aaron Gillespie left

I've had Underoath's new album for quite a while now and its great! People tend to hate on them since Aaron Gillespie left but this album is great! It  just sounds so Underoath despite the absence of Gillespie's voice it still has Underoath's distinctive sound which is awesome. I know that some people wouldn't even think twice about getting their new album because Aaron Gillespie is gone because that's almost how I felt before I listened to their song In Division. Underoath is not dead without him though he did shape what Underoath is today considering he was the longest lasting person to stay in the band. But even if you just never cared for Underoath I would recommend their new album because it has some of the same feel as Oh, Sleeper and Haste The Day. They have some slower songs that can relate to White As Snow by Haste The Day and they are beautiful I love songs like that (speaking of beautiful songs Second  & Sebring by Of Mice & Men is freaking beautiful!). something I love about Underaoth's screamer is that he has a clear scream like his words are pronounced the way that is normal unlike some bands lol but I love when I don't have to look up lyrics to awesome music I just can listen and know same with August Burns Red.

The March Ahead

Johnny Franck was formerly in Attack Attack! and in November he left because he felt he needed to refocus on his relationship with God. It is so awesome and so awesome that he would admit his reasoning considering I read a comment from an atheist saying they would never listen to his music again because of it, which really makes me mad but only encourages me more to change their minds. So since he left Attack Attack! he is now starting a new band called The March Ahead. During his Attack Attack! tour he met Mike Caswell formerly in K Sera and he liked his vocals so they decided to start this band together. Someone commented saying why would he start a new band if he was trying to refocus on God and Franck replied that it was his tour schedule that was taking up his time and this new band will not have that issue, plus he obviously just loves music and God doesn't want you to choose between you're dreams and Him, God is there to help lead you to your dreams. Franck also says that The March Ahead will have a lot of the same sound as Attack Attack! so I'm pretty excited about that because I love that nice post-hardcore sound with techno. I think it is awesome that there is a guy like this making music he is obviously a strong Christian and I love that so much and I will defiantly be supporting The March Ahead and be writing more about them more once I buy their album.

Josh Farro has a new band!

I was so excited to see that Josh Farro has started a new band since he left Paramore. I think he is better off on his own because now he can do his own thing without Hayley making the decisions for the band. I think his band is gonna be great, I haven't listend to them yet though. His new band is called Novel American and he is working with some of his friends from high school. I was suprised to see that is brother Zac is not in his band with him because I always thought they were really close, who knows maybe they are but Zac just didn't want to join. According to Alternative's Press article about this Farro says that thier music is influenced by  Radiohead, Jimmy Eat World and Explosions In The Sky. I like that He is moving on from Paramore happy and excited to use his own ideas rather than what Hayley wants because I know she pretty much ruled the band. I'm excited to hear his stuff and see where Paramore goes without him.
